Bonaparte-NY byJunko Yoshioka Presents Spring/Summer 2005 Bridal Collection at Waldorf –Astoria

September 22, 2004 -- Bonaparte-NY by Junko Yoshioka's second bridal runway show will be presented on October 11th in the Jade room of the Waldorf-Astoria at 9AM. Her over-attended first show has forced her to move the Spring/Summer 2005 Bridal show to a larger more luxurious venue. As a pioneer in bridal fashion, Junko continues to enthrall the viewer with visionary designs and organic interpretations of the classics. This show promises to be one of the highlights of Bridal Market week in New York City.

Among her latest designs are Alexa, which redefines the corset by using white glove leather with hand cut lace fringe as silk chiffon petals cascade to the floor and Bianca, crowned by a deep "V" halter made of Swarovski crystals followed by a sleek 21st century bustle of silk. This dress has recently been chosen for a CoverGirl Ad campaign. The show will also include a preview of Bonaparte's evening wear collection for design houses.

Junko launched the Bonaparte-NY line three years ago after moving to the US from Japan. She has transplanted her fashion vision here after cultivating it in the design studios of Milan and Tokyo(Max Mara, Ante Prima and Atsuro Tayama). Junko has experienced tremendous editorial success including the cover of WeddingBells Magazine and has been featured on Full Frontal Fashion, Oxygen, the Fine Living Network and TLC.

Bonaparte-NY will kick-off Bridal week with the opening of their new showroom in the heart of SoHo at 154 Spring Street. "I have finally found my home … a place that is peopled by kindred spirits," states the unassuming designer. The opening will be celebrated by a party sponsored by Inside Weddings magazine.

Market appointments will take place from October 9 -12th at the Waldorf Towers, 100 East 50th Street, Runway show, October 11th at 9am, Jade Ballroom
